This Switch provides 7 auto-negotiating/autosensing 10/100Mbps Ethernet ports presented on standards based RJ-45 connectors. When a connected device supports auto-negotiation the switch and the device will automatically select the best common mode of operation. If the attached device does not support auto-negotiation then the switch will select the correct operating speed and default to half-duplex mode.

In addition there is a 100BASE-FX 100Mbps Ethernet port providing connectivity to multi-mode fibre optic data cabling allowing a link of up to412m in half duplex mode. By using the DIP switch, the fibre port can be configured for full duplex operation. In this mode 2km link lengths are possible.
